چکیده
Abstract Background The management of non-fermentative gram-negative bloodstream infection (NFGN-BSI) offers numerous challenges. In this study the aim is to analyse a large cohort patients with NFGN-BSI recruited in northern Italy describe epidemiology, etiological and susceptibility pattern, therapeutic outcome. Methods Multicentre retrospective hospitalised at three teaching hospitals fourth year period. Results 355 BSI episodes were analyzed, due P. aeruginosa (72.7%), A. baumannii (16.6%), Stenotrophomonas maltophilia (10.7%). Overall, 21.4% isolates defined as DTR, highest rate among (64.4%). All-cause 30-day mortality was 17.5%. Rates XDR or DTR isolation significantly higher non-surviving patients. Independent risk factors for were: age (HR 1.03, 95%CI 1.00–1.04, p = 0.003), septic shock 2.84, 1.67–4.82, < 0.001) Acinetobacter 2.23, 1.27–3.94, 0.005). Conclusion overall prevalence high NFGN analyzied, mainly showed be an independent predictor mortality. These evidences marked urgent need new options against pathogen. Trial registration number: 79/2017/O/OssN. Approved: March14th, 2017.

Delays in Appropriate Antibiotic Therapy for Gram-Negative Bloodstream Infections: A Multicenter, Community Hospital Study
BACKGROUND Gram-negative bacterial bloodstream infection (BSI) is a serious condition with estimated 30% mortality. Clinical outcomes for patients with severe infections improve when antibiotics are appropriately chosen and given early. The objective of this study was to estimate the association of prior healthcare exposure on time to appropriate antibiotic therapy in patients with gram-negativ...
متن کاملDetection of Metallo-Beta-lactamase Production in Rare Carbapenem-Resistant Non-fermentative Gram-Negative Bacilli Isolated in a Tertiary Care Hospital, Visakhapatnam, India
Introduction: Non-fermentative Gram-negative bacilli (NFGNB) are occasionally involved in infectious diseases pathology, but have shown resistance to multiple antibiotics and the capability to gain new resistance factors in the hospital environment. The present study was aimed to investigate the antibiotic susceptibility pattern of rare NFGNB isolated from different clinical samples and the pre...
